Differential DiagnosisHistory:
Pityriasis versicolor may present as hyperpigmented, hypopigmented or pinkish-red patches or combination of any these three clinical variants. This athlete young man complained of multiple, asymptomatic, brownish patches on his chest, back and neck of many months duration. He is embarrassed by the cosmetic appearance of the rash.
