History:

Both crural areas were involved by an erythematous scaly lesions that slowly enlarged peripherally with an advancing more scaly border and less active center. The lesions were moderately pruritic and spread to surrounding areas and even newer lesions appeared on the leg. Scraping with KOH examination was positive for fungi. Treatment with topical (Clotrimazol cream twice daily) and systemic (Griseofulvin 500 mg twice daily after fatty meals) antifungal agents for 6 weeks cleared all lesions.
