Differential DiagnosisHistory: Gougerot-Blum syndrome is a pigmented purpuric lichenoid dermatitis characterized by minute, rust-coloured, lichenoid papules that tend to fuse into plaques of various hues i.e. purpura with lichenoid dermatitis. Favorite locations are on the legs, thighs and lower trunk. This man presented with purpuric and lichenoid papules and plaques of one year duration. The colour of most lesions was not blanched on diascopy. The rash involved both legs symmetrically and it was slightly itchy.
