Differential DiagnosisHistory:
This girl gave history of inflammatory skin lesions on the scalp with purulent discharge in addition to a gradual hair loss of 4 months duration. History of contact with a domestic animal (sheep) was positive and her brother recently has developed a similar condition. On examination, the scalp was severely inflamed to the degree of ulcer formation in some areas with multiple patchy areas of hair loss were found.
