Differential DiagnosisHistory:
Total or partial absence of hair of developmental origin occurs in a bewildering variety of clinical forms, either as an apparently isolated defect or in association with a wide range of other anomalies. This baby strangely presented with congenital hypotrichosis involving only one side of the scalp. Hypotrichosis in this bay was not associated with any other developmental defect and there was no similar family history.
